Every time I visit the MoMA one of the paintings I must see is Umberto Boccioni’s Dynamism of a Soccer Player because it captivates me. Forms appear as flames around the motion of the soccer ball being kicked, producing a barrage of colors. I translated this concept into a dramatic design filled with texture, movement and color which means “to play with fire” in Italian.
